Or is that time?
Thyme is a great plant! It comes in so many varieties, and works well as a ground cover, a border, or an accent plant, not to mention it's uses in the kitchen. Today though, I am talking about the other kind of time.
I have found myself saying "I don't have enough time" quite often lately. The thing is, I have just as much time as anyone else. I have just chosen to fill my time with things that don't leave me much time for doing some of those things I would really like to do more of - like writing here, on my blog.
I just took a two week break from my master's degree classes. When you take classes online, you can take breaks every once in a while. My break is almost over, and I have really enjoyed not coming home and needing to write a paper every day. As I get back into that routine, I just have to remind myself, only a few more classes until I am done. Yay!!!!!
Having your own business also takes time. Sometimes people don't see all the time that goes into a Kindermusik business. It is more than just teaching the classes. You have to take time to prepare for the classes, stay in regular contact with the families enrolled in the classes, and constantly be finding new families. Then you have the administrative paperwork as well. For each class I teach, I figure I spend about 4 hours working on all the other stuff involved. So even though it may look like I only spend about 7 hours teaching each week, multiply that by 4 and it adds up. Throw in a part time preschool teacher position, and I discover that I am actually working quite a few hours each week.
The trick to having "enough time", at least for me, is to use those remaining bits of time wisely, and spend them on things I really want to do, not things that end up just wasting my time (like watching a re-run of a favorite TV show).
I'm off to spend a little bit of time working on a story I am writing! Have a great time! I know I will!
I'm liking the brunette look... :)
